Live TV with a programme guide, movies and series with cast and trailers, recordings, radio, plus whatever sits on your own drive. On the TV box just as much as on your phone and PC.
If the picture stutters, the player adds to its buffer. After 12 minutes without dropouts it scales back again, on Android between 4 and 45 seconds, on Windows up to 60. If your provider carries a channel in several quality levels, the player switches to another one when one stutters. If you prefer to decide yourself, switch off the automatic mode and set fixed values.
Films and episodes can be downloaded to the device and watched later for up to 7 days without a connection — on the train, on the plane, in a holiday home with poor reception. The progress is shown as it goes. If the connection drops, the download resumes at the same point, provided the server allows it.
Everyone in the household gets their own profile with their own watchlist and history. A kids profile shows films and series only up to the selected age rating, FSK 0, 6, 12 or 16, and in live TV only the categories you approve. The ratings come from TMDB, for which you need your own free TMDB key. You can protect the other profiles with a four-digit PIN if you wish.
No content included: no channels, no films, no playlists — you bring your own sources.

Each screen can be navigated using the four arrow keys and the OK button. On mobile phones and PCs, you can use touch, the mouse and the keyboard.

Under every channel you see what is on right now. During playback the bar shows “Now” and “Next”. Programme data is available with Xtream accounts.
If your provider has an archive for a channel, you can start the current programme from its beginning. Or you pause and continue watching later from that point. “Back to live” takes you to the current picture.
Record the current programme or schedule it in the TV guide. The app must be open at broadcast time. Recordings end up in a section of their own.
The app keeps measuring what your box and your connection can handle, and adjusts the buffer and the video path accordingly.
Stations come from the open Radio Browser directory. You pick them; only your list is stored.
Switch language and subtitles while watching, with readable names instead of numbers.
Poster, plot, running time, rating, age rating and the cast with pictures are on one page. The app supplements the details the provider supplies with data from the TMDB film database as soon as you enter your own free TMDB key.
The cast is shown with pictures, and selecting a name shows more films with that person. On Android the trailer plays in the app. On the PC, and for trailers whose rights holder blocks embedding, YouTube opens. Cast and trailer need the TMDB key.
The app remembers where you stopped, per profile, and it does so across all your devices.
One search box for channels, movies, series, recordings and your own library. Each hit says where it came from.
Films, series and pictures from the device, from a USB stick or from the NAS via WebDAV, HTTP or FTP, also with username and password.
If the provider has a film in several qualities, say 4K and Full HD, you choose the quality on the film page. After a switch, playback continues at the same point.
Every profile has its own colour, its own design, its own language and its own history.

Categories can be hidden and reordered, per profile and separately for live TV, films and series. The provider's list is only the starting point.
Channels rated 18+ appear separately in your favourites under “Favourites 18+”. A kids profile does not show them at all. You can protect your own profile with a four-digit PIN if you wish.
On Android, up to three OpenVPN accounts live in the app and are switched on and off there. No second program is needed on the TV box. On Windows you use the Windows VPN.

In about a minute the app measures memory, processing power, how smoothly the interface runs and how the first channel in your list plays. At the end there is a grade from “Very good” to “Weak”.
You change picture size and the safe picture path by hand if a weak TV box needs it. If it cannot keep up, the app also scales down effects and the image cache by itself in up to three steps, starting with the glass design.
If your TV cuts off the edges, set a frame out to the visible edge under Settings → Screen margin. Menus and buttons then stay inside it, while channels and films still fill the whole screen in full screen.
The TV box shows a QR code valid for 10 minutes. Ovemio on your Android phone, where your account is already set up, scans it and sends account and licence across in encrypted form. No more spelling things out with the remote.
If your provider looks after you through Ovemio, you reach it by chat straight from the app, end-to-end encrypted. You send us a bug report under Settings → Support → “Report app bug”.
The app announces new versions itself and installs them on request. No store is needed for it.
The interface comes in 24 languages, selectable per profile.
Three devices of your choice, freely distributed: three TV boxes, or two phones and a PC. All devices on one licence together use at most two different playlists.

ovemio.com/app/Ovemio.apk also works.The licence is not a subscription. It is valid permanently, and all updates to version 1 are included*. This applies to the base version; premium services offered separately are excluded. Currently that is only the extra URLs, i.e. the second to tenth server address of an Xtream account. They are free until 30 September 2027. After that they can be added as a subscription for €10 a year, cancellable at any time, effective at the end of the paid year. Without them, your account continues to run via the main URL.
All prices for end customers are final prices including 19 % VAT.
1 licence = 3 devices of your choice, freely spread across the device types. Each additional device costs a one-off €3.99.
Ovemio is a neutral media player for sources you configure yourself. The licence covers the software; content is not part of the offer — the user is responsible for the lawfulness of their own sources.
* The update rule. “Use for good” means your licence does not expire. Which updates belong to it is decided by the version number — every version starting with a 1 is included in its base version, with no time limit and no further payment. Bug fixes, security updates and new features alike. The app fetches them by itself. Premium services that we offer separately are not part of it. Currently that is only the extra URLs, and they are free until 30 September 2027.
The second digit does not count here. Going from 1.19 to 1.20 or 1.30 is an update, not a new product. Only a jump to 2.0 would be one: a version on different foundations, bought separately. Whether it will ever exist is open.
Should it arrive, nothing about your licence changes. Version 1 stays usable and keeps being maintained. That is written down in § 7 of the terms, not only here.
